My Experience

Michelle Mintz knows how to foster effective communication tools in toddlers

Michelle Mintz, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a Communication & Cognition Specialist with over 30 years of experience supporting adults whose thinking and communication have been impacted by injury, illness, or natural aging. Her work focuses on strengthening memory, attention, word-finding, and overall cognitive clarity—so daily conversations, decisions, and routines feel more manageable and less frustrating.

Michelle’s background as a Speech-Language Pathologist includes extensive experience in hospital and home-based settings, working with individuals recovering from traumatic brain injury, stroke, and other neurological changes, as well as those experiencing cognitive decline related to aging including dementia and Alzheimer's. Throughout her career, she has seen firsthand that many individuals are told they are “fine” based on scans or test results—yet struggle every day with focus, communication, and follow-through. This gap is where her work begins.

Through MEET MICHELLE MINTZ, Michelle provides practical, real-life cognitive support—not worksheets or one-size-fits-all programs. Her sessions are engaging, personalized, and rooted in how the brain actually works in daily life. She helps individuals build strategies they can use immediately, while also guiding families and caregivers so support continues beyond the session.

Michelle believes that thinking should be strengthened in ways that feel encouraging, social, and doable. Her approach is grounded in connection, clarity, and consistency—because meaningful progress happens when strategies fit real life. Whether working one-on-one, with families, or in senior living communities, her goal is the same: to help people think more clearly, communicate with confidence, and feel supported every step of the way.

My Family

Ryan, my adult-aged son, was and continues to be the inspiration for my journey.  When I am not working with children, I enjoy yoga, hiking and playing with my Japanese Spitz, Skyler.
